How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Also, as a member your shipping information will be shared with our shipping partners strictly for the purpose of getting your boxes to your door and your payment information will be shared with our payment processor in order to make successful transactions.

What data breach procedures we have in place

This site is housed on a premier hosting service, wherein software is tested and updated at a regular frequency to ensure the stability and security of the service. There is monitoring and standard backups in place to detect if a breach occurs. In the event of a potential breach our process will be to:

  1. investigate the potentiality of intrusion
  2. remediate the situation that allowed for a breach to occur
  3. Alert all parties of the stated breach and any pertinent details so that all other parties can take appropriate steps to protect their own data

It is worth noting that your account credentials are your own to protect and while we do monitor for intrusions, keeping credential information secure is the responsibility of all parties involved in any service.
